Beautiful and inspiring meeting with opera singers Kateřina Kněžíková and Adam Plachetka

At the end of May 2022, students and teachers of the Classical Singing Department met in the school's concert hall for a discussion with their patrons, soloists of the Prague National Theatre and numerous international opera houses - Kateřina Kněžíková and Adam Plachetka.

During the two hours of the meeting, the singers answered many curious questions from students and teachers about their beginnings as singers and their subsequent journey to major opera stages. The discussion also touched upon issues of vocal technique, vocal discipline, vocal hygiene, the need to study foreign languages and other topics related to the study of this challenging profession.

The meeting with Kateřina and Adam was a real pleasure for everyone involved. We appreciate their mentorship of our singing department, their interest in young aspiring singers and for their promise to help further singing courses.
