Master classes with opera singer Kateřina Kněžíková

On 22 - 24 September 2021 in the concert hall of the Jan Deyl Conservatory a Master Singing Course was held with the famous opera singer, soloist of the National Theatre in Prague, Mrs. Kateřina Kněžíková.

The course was attended by the students of the Classical Singing specialization, of which Mrs. Kněžíková, together with her husband, the outstanding opera singer Adam Plachetka, is the patron.

A total of 8 students worked actively over the three days, while the other students formed the audience and learned by watching their colleagues at their singing work. All the teachers  of classical singing were present for the course as well.

Mrs. Knežíková deserves great thanks for the commitment, interest, inspiration and positive rigor with which she devoted herself to the active participants. It is admirable that a singer who is herself at the peak of her singing career, finds time in her busy schedule for the young, emerging generation of singers and, as she says herself, she enjoys and finds this work extremely fulfilling. And we all present felt this very intensely and listened enthusiastically.

All the students and teachers of the Classical Singing Department thank Kateřina Kněžíková for a wonderful experience and great inspiration for teaching and studying and are already looking forward to the next encounter!
