On Thursday, December 14, the traditional Advent concert of KJD students took place. The concert was opened by the fanfare of the KJD brass ensemble led by Mgr. Josef Zámečník.
The Christmas atmosphere was created right at the beginning by the musically dramatic band Česká Jeslička, in which students of the Department of Classical Singing performed under the direction of MgA. Zdena Puklická and accompanied by piano BcA. Ahmad Hedar.
This was followed by a presentation of violin and accordion students, in which we listened to compositions by Jean-Marie Leclair and Astor Piazzoli. KJD Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Mgr. Zdeňka Zelby presented the work of Benjamin Britten and accompanied the students of classical singing in Christmas carols in orchestral arrangements by the composer Jaroslav Krček.
At the end of the concert, Christmas Hallelujah was played - a mixture of popular and traditional Christmas carols performed by students of popular singing, accompanied on the piano by prof. Lída Nopová.
MgA accompanied us through the entire concert. Zdena Puklická, words of thanks and wishes for a peaceful Christmas were also expressed by the director of the conservatory Mgr. Stanislava Lustyková, DiS.

We would like to thank all the performers who brought the beautiful atmosphere of the approaching Christmas to us and our guests with their performances.
